Now that You’re In Christ:

Be Baptised

After we come to faith in Jesus, we ought to be baptized in water as physical confession of our faith. But even more, God does not just leave us to live our new life in Jesus alone, but baptises and immerses us with His very Spirit, to comfort us, be with us, teach us, and guide us into all He has for us. He fills us with His Spirit continuously, letting us experience God and His
presence, empowering us to live the Christian life, and giving us various gifts.

In the Bible, Acts 2:38-39 says: Repent and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Grow

In the Bible, Acts 2:42 says: And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

You need to be involved in a local church where you can make Christian friends, learn more about Jesus, the Bible, and also break bread and pray with others. The local church is a family of believers in Jesus who we can grow with in our faith and partner with to do good things in this world.
Don’t do this alone!.

Learn more from the Bible

Why must we learn more from the Bible? The Bible contains God’s message of forgiveness and love in Jesus (what we call “the gospel”). We need to constantly be reminded of this message and explore its rich depths. It will grow us to become more like Jesus in this world.

Pray

Prayer is a simple conversation with God. It is about having a relationship with Jesus, not about rituals or living a religious life. Speaking to God by ourselves and with fellow believers is important for getting to know Jesus better and knowing how to live His way.

Live Out Your purpose

God not only saves us from our sin and the judgement to come, but also gives us a purpose (a call) to live.God has already got a plan for your life!
Matthew 4:19, Jesus says: Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

The purpose He has for you is that you would bring others into the salvation you have found, into the living relationship with Jesus you enjoy, and into the purpose of their lives. We are saved from our sin into a new life filled with purpose and call.

Be Part of a Community

Christianity was never designed to be lived in isolation. God desires us to belong to a spiritual family where we are known, loved, supported, challenged, and strengthened. God wants you to be closely knit together with a group of dear friends with whom you can genuinely share your life—people with whom you can walk in faith, share your joys and struggles, pray together, encourage one another, and grow together in Christ.

This is the kind of community we see in Acts 2:42–47 and Acts 4:32–37: believers who were devoted to one another, shared their lives and possessions, cared for each other’s needs, and walked together in unity, love, and faith.

Get Involved

When one become a member of Tabernacle of Worship Church it is important to understand you are not joining a cruise ship where you can just come, attend church and be served. Rather we are on a battleship, we exist to advance the Kingdom of God. Mere “church-going” was never in God’s plan for you. He wants you very closely knit with a group of dear friends with whom you can share your life like what we see in Acts 2:42-47 and Acts 4:32-37.
